SDSF 2024 THE 10TH EDITION OF THE SAN DIEGO SURF FESTIVAL
Looking back to 2012, we thought we’d show a couple films to some friends, relax, eat some popcorn and that would be just fine but we were wrong, very wrong, but in a good way. Much to our chagrin we received a proclamation from the Mayor of San Diego, sold-out the entire festival, got mobbed by the media and quickly realized the depth and bonds of our surfing community. It was truly incredible. Since 2012 we have presented one of San Diego’s fan-favorite festivals and owe the success to all of you, each of those who believe in what we are trying to accomplish and showed your support throughout the years. What started as a grassroots festival that avoided the red-carpet hype and instead highlighted the extremely creative folks (filmmakers, surfers, shapers, artists, etc.) working tirelessly within the surfing community had instantly become our focal point. And it appears our surfing community was more than ready for this. Since then, we have unassumingly have become one of the most respected and longest running surf festivals in the world.
